//A trip to the farm
We recently went up to a friends dairy farm for a bit of a morning out with my cousins and nieces. With no commercial obligations, deadlines or briefs it was a great opportunity to pull out my manual film cameras and run some black and white film through them. With the saftey net of digital removed, it asks you to really think about your photography differently as there is no LCD to check your compositions and exposures. The process from choosing a film, shooting and then self development is fun and the results are often more rewarding too, when everything goes right that is! There’s an aesthetic about black and white film which I think is similar to sitting down and listening to a vinyl LP. Feel free to comment.
