•16 09 09 • Leave a CommentI have recently finished a long job shooting buildings and structures with a Perth based architectural company. Its been a long and rainy winter which made it a challenge finding good days to shoot on with light that would give definition and dimension to the buildings. Come on Spring! While I can’t show the pics just yet, I’ll post some other pics of some buildings around Perth I have taken in my spare time.
There is two sets. One is from ECU Joondalup and the second set is from the new Raffles apartment building in which I was really lucky to score some beautiful light.
//A trip to the farm
•23 07 09 • Leave a CommentWe recently went up to a friends dairy farm for a bit of a morning out with my cousins and nieces. With no commercial obligations, deadlines or briefs it was a great opportunity to pull out my manual film cameras and run some black and white film through them.   With the saftey net of digital removed, it asks you to really think about your photography differently as there is no LCD to check your compositions and exposures.  The process from choosing a film, shooting and then self development is fun and the results are often more rewarding too, when everything goes right that is!  There’s an aesthetic about black and white film which I think is similar to sitting down and listening to a vinyl LP.  Feel free to comment.
This is Colin, his farm and a curious cow.
// Jacinta Maurer
•02 06 09 • Leave a CommentJacinta is an amazingly talented young country girl who loves to do crazy stunts on horses.  Bolting down the beach hanging upside down for dear life, all with a glamorous smile!
I had the oppurtunity to take some creative shots and my camera firing off at 9 frames per second sounded like machine gun but still felt slow compard to how fast the action was happening.
// Alex Millier
•17 04 09 • 1 CommentAlex is the principal bass clarinettist in the West Australian Symphony Orcherstra.  In this portrait session I wanted to combine elements of Alex’s music, his city lifestyle and choice of transport. If you see a man in dressed in tails on a hip looking silver scooter and a music case on his back, its just Alex on his way to the Perth Concert Hall. You can check out Alex’s blog here.

•31 01 09 • Leave a CommentMy friend Jenna is a talented artist and loves painting portraits. I offered to take some portraits of her one afternoon and the light streaming in her top studio was nice.
We are in the process of having a dual exhibition later this year.
